Carlisle recently reformulated its asphalt-based Cold Applied Adhesive. The new adhesive spreads effortlessly with a flat-blade squeegee and minimizes the potential for membrane staining. The reformulated adhesive is still solvent- and odor-free, has minimal VOCs and meets environmental requirements in all 50 states, making it a great alternative for projects where fumes and odors are a concern.
Carlisle's Cold Applied Adhesive is a one-sided, wet lay in adhesive approved for direct application to SecurShield™, SecurShield HD, HP Recovery Board, DensDeck®, DensDeck Prime™ and SECUROCK®. It is also approved for direct application over wood, lightweight concrete, gypsum and structural concrete decks.
In recovery applications, Cold Applied Adhesive can be applied directly to existing weathered smooth-surface BUR, mineral-surface cap sheets or SBS modified bitumen. Power washing the accumulated debris off the existing roof is the only required substrate preparation. In multiple-ply applications, Carlisle's Cold Applied Adhesive can be used to install Carlisle's modified base sheet and G2 Base Sheet. Carlisle's TPO or EPDM AFX Cap sheets can be installed over the base sheets using the same Cold Applied Adhesive
