 Carlisle is pleased to announce the addition of 1.5" x 2.75" Oval Barbed Plates for use with its Sure-Flex® PVC roofing systems. These plates are designed for use in mechanically attached PVC roofing systems, offering greater wind uplift resistance and higher wind speed approvals.
Wind uplift testing was completed at FM to gain approval for 10'-wide Sure-Flex PVC and Sure-Flex KEE membranes fastened with the Oval Barbed Plate and the HP-X Fastener™ spaced 6" oc. The assemblies achieved a Factory Mutual 1-90 rating over 22-gauge, Grade C steel decking.
The Oval Barbed Plate is packaged in plastic pails consisting of 500 plates per pail.
Features of this new Oval Barbed Plate include:
- 12 barbs for additional slip resistance
- 18-gauge Galvalume® corrosion-resistant metal
- Pull-through strength of over 700 lbs (3.11kN)
The plate must be secured to the deck with Carlisle HP-X fasteners. The oval plate can be used with the Sure-Flex PVC or Sure-Flex KEE polyester-reinforced membranes.
