Carlisle Construction Materials announces Grand Opening date of its new PVC manufacturing line, located in Greenville, Ill.
A case study that details the installation of a Sure-Flex PVC roofing system on the 146,000 square-foot West Springfield High School in West Springfield, MA. The 60-mil PVC membrane was installed using the RhinoBond membrane attachment system over two layers of 2 1/2"-thick polyiso and 1/4"-thick DensDeck cover board.

Some manufacturers of PVC roofing membranes apply a lacquer coating (approximately two mils thick) to their sheet. The stated purpose of this lacquer coating is to mitigate plasticizer loss, reduce the effects of weathering, and (initially) keep the membrane cleaner and free of biological and fungal growth. However, these benefits are short-lived because lacquer coating wears off within the first few
